Short-term Courses
The
Institute facilities in the Nautical, Fisheries and Engineering Technology is further
utilised for conducting an array of short term courses and most of which are tailor-made
to suit the specific requirement of the participants.
The
list of short-term programmes at present in progress at the Institute is as under:
Short term course for Faculty members of Colleges / Universities on
Fisheries & Engineering Technology.
Course on Responsible fishing
Navigation & Meteorology
Energy Conservation for fishing and Low Energy fishing methods
Course on vertical bottom long lining and Monofilament long line
Course on Coastal Environment
Updating course on Nautical knowledge
Introduction to marine Electronic instruments
The short term
courses are meant for serving officials in govt. and private fishery organisation, new
entrants in these organisations, personnel from financial institutions and faculties and
students of colleges. Updating courses are also arranged those who are actually in the
field to update their knowledge at par with present day technological developments. These
courses are conducted every year as per the course programme formulated by the institute.
However, any of these courses can also be arranged exclusively for a group of personnel
(minimum 7 to 10) on their request according to their date of convenience.
